HF-800 Fine Blanking Machine

Heavy-duty fine blanking at 8000 kN | 800-ton platform where structural steel meets burr-free precision

800 Ton / 8000 kN

Heavy-Duty Fine Blanking Press

The HF-800 is where fine blanking crosses into territory traditionally held by casting, flame cutting and machining: thick structural steel components that need both the strength of high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) plate and the dimensional precision of a stamped part. An 800-ton triple-action hydraulic press with a 950×950 mm working table and 550 mm ring gear platen, it processes material up to 20 mm thick — including Hardox wear plate, HSLA grades and quenched structural steels that conventional stamping cannot shear without edge cracking.

Typical applications: Excavator bucket teeth, truck chassis brackets, industrial machinery structural plates, e-bike transmission housings, heavy-gauge brackets

Consider an excavator bucket tooth produced from 20 mm Hardox 400 plate. The conventional route is investment casting followed by rough machining and finish milling — three operations, three handling steps, and material waste approaching 40% of the blank weight. On the HF-800, a single fine blanking stroke produces a net-shape tooth with 100% shear edge, eliminating all secondary machining. The 2000 kN counter-pressure holds the thick plate flat against the die during shearing, preventing the micro-cracking at the die-roll zone that destroys edge integrity on high-hardness steels. The result is a part with the wear resistance of the original plate surface preserved on all functional faces, and a sheared edge that meets dimensional tolerance without post-processing.

The critical engineering challenge at this tonnage class is frame deflection. Under 8000 kN of total force, a frame that deflects even 0.05 mm under load will produce uneven die-roll across the part — thicker at one edge, with tear-through at the opposite edge where the punch gap opens. The HF-800's whole-welded frame is FEA-verified for stiffness under full load and side-loading conditions, with stress-relief treatment applied after welding to eliminate residual stresses that would cause long-term geometry drift. The 160 kW main motor with accumulator-assisted hydraulics sustains stable blanking speed even at maximum tonnage, ensuring consistent edge quality across the full 950×950 mm die area at 45 strokes per minute.

Typical deployments include truck chassis brackets in 16 mm HSLA, excavator structural plates in 20 mm Hardox, e-bike transmission housings, and industrial machinery chassis components where burr-free edges eliminate downstream machining. Configured as a complete production cell, the HF-800 pairs with heavy-duty coil feeding, in-house die design for thick-plate applications, and deburring equipment sized for structural gauges — delivering turnkey capability from coil to finished structural part under a single supplier.
