Flagship fine blanking at 12000 kN | 1200-ton press for the most demanding applications on earth
The HF-1200 is the top of our range — the machine we build when the part is too large, too thick, or too critical for any other press in the HF-series. A 1200-ton triple-action hydraulic press with a 1200×1200 mm working table and 700 mm ring gear platen, it processes specialty steel up to 25 mm thick and handles blank diameters that would exceed the platen of any smaller press in our line. This is the machine that competes with the most expensive European brands on capability, not on price.
Typical applications: Wind turbine gearbox internal gears, mining equipment structural plates, defense-grade components, heavy industrial drive plates, large-format aerospace parts
Consider a wind turbine gearbox internal gear: 25 mm thick 18CrNiMo7-6 case-hardened specialty steel, 320 mm blank diameter, with an internal tooth profile that demands 100% shear edge for low-noise operation under variable torque loads. The part is too thick for conventional stamping, and casting plus machining introduces porosity risk in a safety-critical application. On the HF-1200, the 3000 kN counter-pressure clamps the full 25 mm cross-section flat, the 6000 kN ring gear force engages the V-ring across the entire 700 mm platen diameter, and the 250 kW main motor sustains the controlled blanking speed that produces a die-roll zone below 10% of material thickness — a part that goes directly from the press to heat treatment with no intermediate machining.
The engineering challenge at 12000 kN is frame rigidity under maximum force. The HF-1200's ultra-rigid frame is a whole-welded structure that undergoes stress-relief treatment and then precision-machining to final tolerances — not the bolted-frame construction used on lighter presses. Guiding assemblies are hand-scraped and fitted to maintain ram parallelism within microns over the full 350 mm stroke, a level of precision that directly determines part flatness and die life on the heaviest applications. At 35 strokes per minute, the HF-1200 achieves production rates previously unavailable at this tonnage class — closing the gap between heavy forming and precision blanking.
Each HF-1200 is assembled in our dedicated heavy-press bay, where overhead crane capacity and foundation preparation match the 98-ton machine weight. Factory acceptance testing includes full-tonnage blanking trials on customer-specified material before shipment, with documented results for every measured parameter — tonnage curve, ram parallelism, V-ring engagement, counter-pressure stability, and edge-quality measurement on the produced sample. For the most demanding applications, we document the full process parameter set as part of the machine handover, so your production team starts with validated settings rather than starting from scratch.
